  • Are the Estimates really free?
    Are the Estimates really free? No. Just kidding! Yes, estimates are 100% free, every time you come in with new damage. Plus, you're never obligated to use ANY shop you don't want to, since CA drivers have the right to choose which shop they prefer for repairs. Beware of insurers trying to steer you to the shop they'd prefer, this is illegal and important to report. #SupportSmallBusiness
  • Can I stop by the shop for an estimate?
    Yes! Swing by anytime during business hours, no appointment needed. Dropping by our shop is the best way to get an estimate because our staff will be able to see a vehicle's damage, the clearest. An estimator will write up your estimate while you sit in our lobby, or you can head home, and we'll email you a copy later. This route, pun intended, is the fastest way to get your vehicle repairs underway!

  • Got my estimate, now what?
    You've chosen Laguna for your repairs, great choice! WHAT TO DO NEXT: Call the shop at (408) 942-0513, provide the phone number on your estimate, and ask to get scheduled. USING INSURANCE: Provide Laguna’s staff with your claim number, and the name of your Insurer, if you haven't already. Let your insurer know that you want to repair with Laguna, and we'll see you for your appointment. NOT USING INSURANCE: Next, make a deposit for the parts on your estimate. Laguna’s policy requires a parts deposit to be made, prior to repairs. The deposit will count toward your final balance, and is non-refundable. We accept in-person or over the phone payments. The final amount will be collected upon pick up. CAN'T MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT: No problem at all. Just let us know, by phone or email, and we’ll get you rescheduled.
  • It's time to drop off my car, what should I expect?
    Once you arrive, pull into Lagunas’ driveway, and meet our staff in the office. We'll look up your file, review your paperwork and Laguna policies with you, and have you sign to authorize repairs. *** If all signatures are not obtained, repairs may be delayed. *** Hand us your key, and you're ready to go on with your day!
  • Can I drop off my car outside of business hours?
    Yes, and no need to ask! If you need to drop off your vehicle at Laguna while we are closed, go for it! If you can’t or don’t want to leave your keys, please park on the street, and contact us with your information as soon as possible. HOW TO DROP OFF: With keys Drive to Laguna and park in front of one of our bay doors. Walk to the office and find the small mailbox to the left of the door with envelopes inside, a pen to the left. Write down your contact information, place keys inside and seal. Drop envelope inside the office's Key Drop Slot to the right of the mailbox. DO NOT block through traffic, street parking available if needed.
  • Where is the After Hours Key Drop? How do I use it?
    The After Hours Key Drop is located on Laguna’s office door. HOW TO: Walk to the office and find the small mailbox to the left of the door. Inside you’ll find colorful envelopes and a pen to the left. Write down your contact information, insert keys, and seal. Place into the Drop Slot located on the office door, to the right of the mailbox.
  • What’s up with car rentals? (Insurance only)
    CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE: Once you've made an appointment for repairs, call your insurer. If car rentals are included in your policy, let your adjuster know you need to schedule your rental, and they will instruct you on what to do next. Enterprise and Hertz locations are 5-10 minutes away from Laguna’s shop. They will even pick you up from our location, just let them know! Leave your rental at Laguna when you pick up your repaired vehicle! Just inform the rental company that you need a vehicle picked up at our location, and leave the key with our office, and we'll take it from there!
  • More damage was discovered after drop off, what happens next?
    If you're paying WITHOUT INSURANCE, don't worry, we'll contact you before moving forward. As long as the "new" damage isn't a safety issue, which would be required by law to repair, it'll be up to you whether we add the damage to your estimate or not. WITH INSURANCE: Laguna will write up a supplement, add all necessary repairs related to the claim, including those required by law and your insurance company.
  • Does Laguna fix electrical stuff, like side mirrors?
    Yes! We repair minor electrical things like lights and side mirrors. We can even order the part, so you don’t have to do anything.
  • When do storage fees apply?
    It depends. Storage fees are determined per situation, and are sometimes affected by an insurance company, if being used. HOW TO AVOID FEES: With or without insurance Drop off your vehicle for repairs, and receive updates until repairs are completed. We'll contact you, then ask for a pick up time and date. Next, pick up your vehicle as scheduled, and no fees will be added! RUNNING LATE: No problem! Just call or email ASAP, we’ll either wait for your arrival, or get you rescheduled with no additional storage fees. STILL HAVE QUESTIONS: Just ask our office staff, they’re always happy to walk you through it!
  • Does Laguna do full vehicle repaints?
    Yes! Our staff will sand down the full body of your vehicle, prime and repaint it to match your old paint, or we'll spray on a new color! Laguna can also do showroom quality repaints with high quality paint, can add full body stripes flush with the surface, and even get you hand painted stripes and designs by working with other small businesses like Lunatic Customs. The cost starts as low as $5,000, but will depend on various factors. If you'd like a quote, we recommend coming by the shop during business hours, email multiple pictures to LagunaAutoBody@gmail.com, or start a free estimate on this website!
  • Does Laguna have towing?
    Yes, sort of. Laguna believes in partnering with small local businesses, to assist us with all things outside of our abilities. In this case, Pineapple Towing will get your vehicle home, or straight to our shop. Contact them directly, to get your tow. Pineapple Towing: (408) 204-3934 NEED TO TOW TO US NOW?
